This is a proposal that was born on our label with the idea of turning trash to something beautiful and useful as a signal made of sounds from different parts of the world, implicating questions about caring for our environment.

The invitation, which closed last Friday (May 31), consisted on the composition of a track with registrations of sounds generated with trash, or referring to processes of production, harvesting or tried of it. Artists could use for it those sounds that we recorded and compiled for this purpose, or other register following the same premise.

Basura! records was created in 1999, initially for editing material itself, although the proposal is currently expanding to other artists, in general, of that city, including expressions of different styles, from punk to electronic music, but with the central idea that, at present, art can be done in the world of music, even outside the commercial market, yet living in the periphery, and even independently.
